When it comes to our favorite YouTubers, Arden Rose tops the list. Her new go90 streaming show Mr. Student Body President gives us one more place to watch Arden online. We caught up with the social media maven to get the scoop on the show.

Tell us a little bit about Mr. Student Body President.
It’s the story of an overly enthusiastic teenage boy (Tyler Prendergast) who thinks he has as much importance at his high school as the actual president. I play Tyler’s right hand, Hadley Pulito. She’s essentially the person in the background of his presidency pulling the strings. She’s ruthless and unforgiving. Definitely a character that was fun to get into!

In high school, did you ever run for class president or another office?
I never ran for class president or anything in high school. I spent most of my time in the art room or doing special effects makeup for our school plays. It’s funny that I was always doing background work in high school and now, all I want is to play a character in front of the camera.

If you were student body president, what type of things would you promise your fellow students?
I probably would have said they could wear collarless shirts or something. I know that feels like a lame answer, but my high school’s dress code was very strict. Any chance to get out of a starchy polo shirt was a blessing indeed!

We want the inside scoop! Any funny stories or moments from the set?
The entire cast spent 80% of their downtime dancing with one another. For whatever reason “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall & Oates was blasted and karaoked to at any given moment. We probably drove our directors crazy!

We are huge fans of your YouTube channel, but we wanna know what channels you subscribe to?
I’ve been loving the alternative side of beauty gurus lately. I’m Jenn Im and La Madelynn and Soothing Sista—all amazing women making really cool and interesting content.

What is the coolest thing a fan has ever done for you?
On Twitter, I just discovered that one fan does a marathon of my videos and treats herself to face masks and popcorn with her mom whenever I tweet back at her. I love that my videos instigated a special mother/daughter bonding moment without even knowing it! My viewers are so cute, man.
