Does it ever seem like you’re just another face in the crowd at school? Feeling unappreciated or overlooked can be disheartening, and it’s also a slippery slope if you don’t choose to rise above it. The good news? You’re not alone. Teachers at one high school in Arkansas recognized that all-too-common mindset and decided to take matters into their own hands. In this week’s Video of the Week teachers pull unassuming students aside to remind them that they are, in fact, important and that they truly matter. The video was inspired by a student’s video that essentially performed the same “experiment,” recording people’s reactions to being called “beautiful.” The point is, the power of words is oftentimes underrated, and a little bit goes a long way when you’re intentional about encouraging others.
