A Fiendish Affair inspired by Prosper Redding
Alexandra Bracken’s newest novel, The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding, was so eerie, mysterious and spectacularly spooky that it inspired us to plan our own Halloween-themed Founder’s Day party based on the book!
Here’s the scoop on the book: Prosper is the only unexceptional Redding in his old and storied family history—that is, until he discovers there’s a demon living inside him. Turns out Prosper’s great-great-great-great-great-something grandfather made, and then broke, a contract with a malefactor, a demon who exchanges fortune for eternal servitude. And, weirdly enough, 800-year-old Alastor isn’t exactly the forgiving type. The evil spirit has reawakened with one purpose: to destroy the family that betrayed him . . .
And for your party . . .
Celebrate Redhood’s Founder’s Day just like Prosper by sipping cider and making s’mores!
Everyone writes their regrets on slips of paper then burns them in the bonfire.
Twinkling lights, pumpkins and apples set the scene!
