In case the book wasn’t on your reading list, here’s what you need to know before watching. 13 REASONS WHY tells the story of Hannah Baker, a teen girl who kills herself, leaving behind cassette tapes that reveal the people she blames for driving her to suicide.
Sound intriguing? The storyline promises twists and turns that will keep you coming back for more. The drama starts with Clay Baker, who returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers tapes from Hannah, his classmate and crush, who died two weeks earlier. In the tapes she reveals the 13 reasons why she ended her life, and Clay is one of them. If he listens, he’ll find out why he made the list.
Creating even more excitement for the upcoming release, Netflix dropped some seriously intriguing promo posters for the show to get fans ready for the premiere. We’ve been dying to see how they cast some of our favorite characters ever since we read (and re-read) the book.
As if this event couldn’t get any better, Netflix also revealed that Selena Gomez is an executive producer of the show. Let’s just say, we’re all in.
