Calling all volunteers! Your hard work and dedication may have already paid off in the form of helping others, but thanks to the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, now it can also pay off in the form of up to $5,000! The awards program honors middle school and high school students for making meaningful contributions to their communities through volunteer service. Whether you’ve been spending time at the soup kitchen, acting as a volunteer soccer coach for a local team or walking dogs at the Humane Society, your commitment(s) could qualify you! Just click here and complete the application by Nov. 3, and then submit for certification to a school principal or head of a county 4-H organization, Girl Scout council, American Red Cross chapter, YMCA or HandsOn Network affiliate. These organizations select local honorees who then advance to state-level judging. All state honorees receive $1,000, an all-expense-paid trip to Washington D.C., and more, while five middle school students and five high school students are named America’s top volunteers of the year. These students receive $5,000 for themselves, plus $5,000 in Prudential Foundation grants and more! Better get movin’… the Nov. 3 deadline is fast approaching!
