The end of the semester can be quite the whirlwind, but what better way to lighten the load than an at-home spa day to send you straight down the path to zen? Gather your best girls, or turn off your phone and go it alone. Just make sure you have everything you need to make the downtime a success…

1. The Face Mask

  • 2 Tbsp. pure honey (locks in moisture)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon (reduces inflammation and redness)
  • 1 wedge of fresh lemon juice (exfoliates and reduces scarring)

Warm the honey in the microwave, then mix the ingredients until you get a smooth paste. Smooth onto clean face with fingertips (avoiding eyes), and leave on for 15-20 min. Rinse off and voila! Smooth skin for the win. (abeautifuldayblog.wordpress.com)

2. The Mani/Pedi

No skipping steps! After you’ve trimmed, filed and taken care of those cuticles, start by applying one thin base coat. Once this is dry, add two coats of your fresh spring color, and finish off with a top coat. But you’re not finished! RELAX until you’re totally dry.

3. The Snack Spread

While you’re cleansing your mind and renewing your spirits, don’t forget to cleanse your body, too! Put those detoxifying smoothies on your Pinterest board to good use, and don’t forget to save some fruits and veggies to snack on.

4. The Vibes

Turn the lights down and choose a relaxing playlist. Think Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith. And don’t forget the lavender and eucalyptus candles, either. Ambiance is everything!

5. The Conditioner Treatment

  • 2 parts coconut oil
  • 1 part olive oil

Combine ingredients and mix well. Apply mixture to your hair (focusing on the ends) and wrap into a bun on top of your head with a shower cap. Leave on for 15- 30 minutes (depending on how damaged your hair is), rinse, and then shampoo and condition as normal. Voila! Watch your locks come back to life.
