There are lots of pros to staying in with your girls on a Saturday night: sweatpants, no bras, junk food, reading something new, and of course, a great movie. But when it comes to picking a flick, we’ve noticed that we spend a lot of time browsing through Netflix, and less time actually watching the movie. We’ve taken the guesswork out of a girls night with our list of Top 20 must-see movies! Why not start at the top and work your way down? We know your friends would be game to binge every one!
20. LETTERS TO JULIET
This might take the cake for the most girly chick flick of all time. Romance? Check. Romeo? Check. Gorgeous scenes of the Italian countryside? Check. A marriage proposal? Check. Definitely a must-see if you love love.
19. A WALK TO REMEMBER
You’ll need plenty of tissues for this one! Watching Landon fall in love with Jamie (teenage Mandy Moore) and change his bad-boy ways just for her is sure to make anyone shed a tear!
18. 13 GOING ON 30
This movie is worth a watch just for the makeover scene, when Jenna (who is 13 in her future 30-year-old body) plays dress up in the closet of her dreams!
17. 17 AGAIN
Coming in at #17 is 17 Again, which shows cutie Zac Efron back in the day, in an odd series of events that cause him to turn back time to his teenage self!
16. THE FAULT IN OUR STARS
John Green fans rejoiced when this iconic book was made into a movie, and the fact that Ansel Elgort played Gus makes it a must-see. Prepare yourself, this one is a tear-jerker.
15. EASY A
Emma Stone stars as Olive, a high school girl who takes on a strange social experiment inspired by The Scarlet Letter. We’re big fans because Penn Badgley (Gossip Girl) spends most of the movie in a mascot suit.
14. THE NOTEBOOK
Quite possibly the most iconic love story of the century, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams make us swoon and cry repeatedly for the entire two hours. If you’re a bird, I’m a bird, right?
13. FOOTLOOSE (2011)
Sure, we love the classic, but we can’t get enough of Julianne Hough’s killer moves in the remake! And Miles Teller learning how to dance is cuter than every puppy video on the Internet.
12. THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PANTS
The best part of this series is that the Blake, America, Amber and Alexis met on set and became instant friends IRL! These girls teach a need-to-know lesson on what real female friendship looks like!

Roll Call! Listen up as Captain Torrance shows you everything you need to know about running the cheeriest cheerleading squad there ever was! Don’t forget your spirit fingers!
10. 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU
If you’ve got a sister, this classic 90s flick is a need-to-see for the two of you! Based on Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, but set in high school, this movie combines sisterly love with plenty of laughs and romance!
9. PITCH PERFECT
What song would you sing to try out for the Bellas? You and your squad will laugh through this whole movie, proving once again that girls can be just as funny as boys!
8. HAIRSPRAY (2007)
Even if you aren’t the biggest fan of musicals, you won’t be able to stop your feet from moving in Hairspray! Plus, this movie has a message everyone can appreciate: learn to love yourself and others and you will go far!
7. THE PRINCESS DIARIES
If this isn’t the best makeover scene of any movie, we’re stumped. Who can’t relate to dorky-yet-lovable Mia (Anne Hathaway) navigating her average teenage daily life: going to school, hanging with friends, and, oh, running a country?
6. CLUELESS
Be sure to RSVP to the OG Queen of Beverly Hills! Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is just your average teenager…with a computerized closet.
5. THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA
You’ll need 10 or 15 skirts, extra hot coffee, Hermes scarves and all the determination you have to make it through a day at Runway Magazine! Just kidding, but TBH, the clothes in this movie are #goals.
4. GREASE
It’s the word.
3. MEAN GIRLS
Let your squad know that everyone must wear pink to this movie night! It’s going to be so fetch.
2. LEGALLY BLONDE
Welcome to Harvard, Elle Woods! Reese Witherspoon shows us all what unstoppable looks like, wearing her signature color, of course.

This flick has everything you could ever want in a movie: love, action and seriously gorgeous dresses worn by Rose (Kate Winslet), plus young Leo DiCaprio, the OG It boy!
