Ever wondered which London Victoria Schwab would belong to? Or who her favorite author is? We had a chance to catch up with her and play a round of Five Quick Questions!

OK, let’s start with…which London do you belong in?

Victoria Schwab: Red London totally! Only because Red London is the only one that seems to have a healthy relationship with magic. I think I could survive White London unlike most people, but definitely not Grey London. Red London is the one with the most potential for magic.

Are you Human or Monster?
VS: Monster – without a doubt. Sunai probably. No, Malchai. I wish I had skill with an instrument, but I don’t. I think that’s why I wrote them because it’s vaguely supernatural to be able to play an instrument because I never learned.

Would you live in Verity or the Londons?
VS: I would never live in Verity – everyone’s trying to kill you in Verity! That’s not a safe place at all, even if I had to live in Grey London I would not choose Verity.

Are you more like Kell or Rhy?
VS: Oh that’s a hard question. Rhy has a lot of my insecurities, but Kell is more neurotic like me. I’m probably more like Kell then. Kell and Rhy together are my character. If you could fuse them, then that would be me. I just split myself into two and made one of them Kell and one of them Rhy.

Favorite author?
VS: Neil Gaiman! I have a bracelet that says “What would Neil Gaiman do?” on it that I’ve been wearing for a decade.

Love that.

Be sure to check out her latest book Our Dark Duet, the sequel and last book in the Monsters of Verity duology!
