If you’re anything like us, you were parked in front of your TV watching the 2016 Billboard Music Awards! Las Vegas was the spot for this celeb-studded event, and from the performances all the way down to the pink carpet fashion, we still can’t stop talking about it. Check out our top three style and music moments from the big night!
Top 3 Style Moments:
Who said stripes aren’t flattering? Laura Marano, Rachel Platten and the iconic Steven Tyler showed us stripes done right on this year’s carpet. Rachel didn’t mind matching with her self-described “musical idol” Steven Tyler, and we didn’t mind either!
2. Au Naturale
Our former cover girl, Zendaya, loves experimenting with fashion, beauty and hair styles. But we have to say her look at the BBMAs was one of our red carpet faves! Keeping it simple and fresh faced, this unique beauty opted for a natural look with brows that have become our new #goals!
3. All Black
Fifth Harmony’s color-coordinated dresses showed us that black is always a classy choice. Each of these talented ladies flaunted her unique style by rocking a different dress while the girls all coordinated in their chic monochromatic palette. With the addition of their smokey eyes and luscious locks, these ladies gave us some serious prom inspo!
Top 3 Music Moments:
1. Adele’s music video premiere for “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”
We’re still obsessing over Adele’s visual interpretation of her new hit single. The music video featured a kaleidoscope of Adeles singing a break-up song to her lover while wearing a gorgeous floral maxi fit for summer. Adele once again demonstrated her inner fierceness and showed us how to take the high road after a bad breakup. Watch the video here!
2. Shawn Mendes’s “Stitches” Performance
We have loved listening to the radio version of this song, but we were so impressed with the stripped down, acoustic version that Shawn performed! Although we mostly know him as a guitar player, he surprised us all by dropping the guitar to play the piano. Basically, we can’t get enough of this multi-talented guy!
3. Meghan Trainor’s girl-power-packed “No” performance
We can’t get enough of Meghan’s latest hit, and we love that she performed this empowering song by opening with dance moves and then bringing it out to the audience—specifically to Zendaya! Check out her performance here.
